PROCESS
All our staff are trained in customer relations and we pride ourselves on the fact that we are able to offer a bespoke service and individual attention to each client and try to maintain customer goodwill with the majority of accounts being collected without recourse to legal proceedings.
All instructions received before 1pm are dealt with on the same day. In accordance with your Terms and Conditions or under the Late Payment of Commercial Debt (Interest) act 1998, interest and compensation costs at the appropriate rate (business to business debts) with be added to the debt from the outset.
We initially write to the debtor by First Class recorded delivery post demanding payment or a response within 7 days from the date of the letter. If no response is received we then try and make contact by faxes, email and telephone to resolve the reason for non-payment. If the debtor is unable to discharge the debt in full we will negotiate, agree, and monitor an installment plan beneficial to both parties, we would also mediate with the debtor on any disputed matters. (We do not accept any offer of payment without first obtaining client approval).
Legal Proceedings
Although we specialise in pre-court debt recovery there are times when legal proceedings become essential. We will prepare claims forms and monitor proceedings on your behalf. We also have an insolvency/debt recovery specialist and an in house lawyer to offer advice, and again we make no charge for this. The only cost to our client are court fees. If a debt becomes defended we instruct one of our many panel member solicitors to advise and attend court if necessary on your behalf.
(We do not proceed with court proceedings without our client's prior consent)
